WWF Superstars is a 1991 video game and port of WWF WrestleMania Challenge developed by Paul Machacek for Rare Ltd. and it was published by LJN Ltd. and it was released for Game Boy in 1991.
There is also an earlier unrelated version, which is set for release in 1990 for Game Boy, to be programmed by Zippo Games for Rare Ltd., and Acclaim would've been published it. Said game appears to be a monochrome port of the original WWF WrestleMania for the NES.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- It received issues over the video game.
- The Pickford Brothers were resigned from the Zippo Games company.
- Zippo Games has been shut down.
Result[]
It was permanently cancelled, and it was replaced by the Paul Machacek one. Had it been released, the Machacek one would've been named "WWF Superstars 2", and the Sculptured one would've been named "WWF Superstars 3" (WWF Superstars 2).
