The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was to be a survival horror game by The 3DO Company and was planned for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and the GameCube. It would've also partnered with the late legendary special effects artist Stan Winston to produce the game. The game was also set to have a large celebrity cast, including Lance Henriksen as the main character, Courtenay Taylor and Tim Curry as the main villain.
Gameplay[]
This would've been a survival horror game centered on the actions of several playable characters that are left on earth after the Rapture. These characters were widely different and ranged from a fallen priest to a young stripper and would each have special weapons and abilities specific to themselves.
Why it was Cancelled[]
- The 3DO Company went bankrupt in May of 2003, instantly cancelling all of their future projects including this one.
Result[]
- The game was permanently cancelled following the bankruptcy of The 3DO Company.
- A graphic novel based on the cancelled game was later published by Titan Comics in 2014, illustrated by former DC Comics artist Simon Bisley.
