Why They Were Cancelled[]
Sam Raimi was displeased with how Spider-Man 3 turned out.
The release date became an issue since Sam Raimi couldn't meet the Summer 2011 release date that Sony wanted.
The storyline championed by Raimi was dour and downbeat, with the main antagonist that wasn't seen as marketable enough by Sony executives, who preferred someone more visually interesting, like Electro or Carnage.

On November 30th, 2019, A YouTuber Hard4Games uploaded a video featuring gameplay and the debug menu of the unreleased game. The next day on December 1st, 2019, the game was uploaded onto the Internet Archive by user DiskHacker
The screenshots of the game uploaded by Wayne Dalton, however, are screenshots from a different version of the game. Evidence for this is that there is a different model used for Spider-Man and a different HUD. It is unknown however many other versions exist of the game.
The Xbox 360 version of the game was leaked from several sources on September 11th, 2021 by Obscure Gamers.
