Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a remake of the original game on the Wii that was released on Sept. 7th (Sept. 3rd for those who pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe version) for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store. A Steam port was planned for the game, but was scrapped later in development.
Why was it cancelled?[]
Epic Games Store made a deal with Sega to release the game exclusive on their website for the PC users. Though there once was an option to get it pre-ordered on Steam, it was then changed to the Epic Games Store a short time after.
Results[]
- Because of the deal with Epic Games Store, the Steam port was never released.
- In the game's files, however, there remains 50 test achievement samples of both locked and unlocked.
