Mortal Kombat: Special Forces is a 3D action game developed and released by Midway Games for the PlayStation in 2000. The game stars the character from the Special Forces faction Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. There was also going to be ports for the Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast, but they were cancelled.

Why They Were Cancelled[]

  1. The ports had many problems, including the departure of John Tobias.
  2. The original PS1 version was panned, so these ports after that could be even worse.

Result[]

Since the original PS1 version was panned and the ports had many problems, including the departure of John Tobias, the Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast ports of Mortal Kombat: Special Forces were cancelled, and we only got the PlayStation version.
