Mega Man Anniversary Collection, originally announced as Mega Man Mania, was originally planned to be released on the Gameboy Advance. Similar to the Console Versions, the game would've had it's own games, but it would be reworked with color on the first five Gameboy Games. However, the game was cancelled after being delayed for too long.

Planned Features[]

  • It would've had the first five Mega Man on the Gameboy, all recolored from black and white.
  • A History Section possibly when each game was released.
  • An artwork gallery with possible early development ideas.

Reason for cancellation[]

The game was being pushed back several time having rumors thinking it to be caused by Capcom lacking the games' original source code. Around January 2006, several people contacted Capcom were told that the game had been placed on "indefinite hold" and have also been issuing refund checks to those who had ordered the game directly through their online store.

Results[]

  • Around the time the checks were issued, several retailers eclared the game "cancelled" and issued refunds or store credits.
  • Though the game was cancelled, they can still be play on the handheld with backwards compatibility.
