Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is a 2003 Sci-Fi first person shooter developed by Warthog Games and published by Vivendi Universal Games under the Black Label Games name for PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Trivia[]
Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter was at one point planned to be published by Crave Entertainment with EA handling European distribution, and was also originally planned as a Xbox exclusive too, until that plan was scrapped as PC, PS2, and GameCube versions were all announced in 2002. Most likely due to creative differences, Crave Entertainment dropped out of the production, and thus came Vivendi Universal Games (through Black Label Games name) releasing this game in June of 2003 in North American and later September of the same year in Europe.
Due to poor sales of the game on Xbox and PS2, Vivendi not only cancelled the GameCube version, but also (almost) cancelled the North American release of the PC version, until early 2004 where Mumbo Jumbo acquired the rights to publish the North American PC version.
