After the success of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Travelers Tales wanted to explore more franchises in Lego form. A test animation of a Lego James Bond was pitched to Lego from Travelers Tales around 2005.

The plot is currently unknown, though it likely would have been Lego adaptations of the James Bond movies. like Lego Star Wars

Why It Was Cancelled[]
- When Casino Royale came out, Lego thought the Bond franchise was "too dark and gritty for a kids game".
- Possibly, Lego didn't have any 007 sets at the time.
Result[]
- The game was permanently cancelled.
- Instead, Travellers Tales made LEGO Star Wars II The Original Trilogy.
- Lego would (ironically in fact) later make the 007 sets, several years after its cancellation.
