Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (PS3/Xbox 360)

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is an 2009 game, Published by LucasArts, and developed by Artificial Mind and Movement for the NDS, PS2 and Wii, and Amaze Entertainment for the PSP, It was released for the NDS, PSP, PS2, and the Wii in June 2009, however there were plans for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, that were going to be developed internally by LucasArts, but they were unfortunately cancelled.

Why they were cancelled[]

Due to layoffs at LucasArts occurring in 2008, and leadership changes being frequent, They cancelled the PS3 and 360 versions, which were unfinished,
They were also cancelled due to development issues, many delays, lack of progress, etc, combined with LucasArts' fear of being unable to compete with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Results[]

The Wii is the only 7th gen console this game was released on.
This game only got NDS, PSP, PS2 and Wii releases.
The 2 Lego Indiana Jones games are the only Indiana Jones games to be released on the PS3 and 360.

Trivia[]

This game was going to be tentatively called "Indiana Jones 2007", as the game was planned to be released in Summer 2007, but the game missed its original Summer 2007 release date, and thus it was later released in June 2009.
The PS2 version can played on older PS3 that have backward compatibility with PS2 games.
This game would come to later gen consoles in January 2025 for PS4 & PS5 even though they are not 7th gen console, as well as being released for PlayStation Plus, it however is just the PS2 version.
