In June 2001, Half-Life would be ported on the Sega Dreamcast developed by Gearbox Software and Sierra.

The port would have had some new characters, models, textures, and blue shift included with it.
Why It Was Cancelled[]
- Sierra canceled the port citing "changing marketing conditions".
- The Dreamcast was nearing its lifespan.
Results[]
- The port was permanently cancelled.
- The PS2 became the only home console to have the original Half-Life on it.
- A late build of the Dreamcast version was eventually leaked onto the Internet.
Trivia[]
If you look closely at the box art, the words "Half-Life" aren't on there.
