Plot[]

The port was not going to be a direct port like the other ones and would have been developed by Sensory Sweep.

Why it was cancelled[]

  • It was cancelled because Mario Kart DS was coming out about the same time, and Sierra thought it wasn't going to sell well.
  • It is also rumored that it was cancelled because of management issues between Sensory Sweep and Sierra Entertainment.

Results[]

  • PSP is the only portable port of Crash Tag Team Racing.
  • The Nintendo DS wouldn't get a Crash Bandicoot game until Crash Boom Bang was released in 2006.

Trivia[]

  • If the port wasn’t cancelled, there would’ve been 4 Nintendo DS Crash Bandicoot games instead of 3 (5 if the cancelled Crash Landed game had also not been cancelled) and would’ve also been the 1st Nintendo DS Crash Bandicoot game.
  • The Nintendo DS port was the first port announced for the game. (At the time, it was still called Crash Clash Racing)
