Among Us 2 was a planned sequel of Among Us which was announced in August 2020. It was to be developed and published by Innersloth. Innersloth confirmed it's cancellation a little more than a month after the announcement of the project. The game project would've possibly been exclusive to PC.
Gameplay[]
Unlike the original game, AU2 would've had upgraded features, bigger servers, and a player limit from twelve to fifteen players, there would have been more than three of imposters. Multiple modes were planned as well.
Why it was cancelled[]
A few weeks after announcing the sequel, the original game exploded in popularity, so the developers decided to keep updating the first game instead. This is despite the fact that the original Among Us was not designed to be built on heavily, with Innersloth saying that the original game could handle updates with some reworking.
